Microorganisms play a vital role in both human and environmental health. Also they have multifaceted applications like bioremediation, biofuels, biopolymers, enzymes, bioactive compounds etc. Majority of microbial biodiversity of India is not much explored for applications. I am interested to isolate, catalog, characterise microbes from different environments using genome scale approaches and further explore them for industry relevant applications.
